Wicked Warm-Ups

Location: Devils Post Pile located right next to Mammoth Lakes in Madera County of Eastern California. Devils Post Pile was formed by molten lava and glacial ice. Thousands of years ago as the lava cooled cracks formed on the surface into hexagons one of natures most stable shapes. It is believed that during the ice age a glacier exposed this cliff of columns which stands today as one of the best examples in the entire world of basaltic columns.

Exercise Type: General Warm-Up

Rational: Every workout should begin with a general followed by a specific warm-up exercise. The purpose of the general warm-up is to prepare the entire body for exercise, the specific warm to prepare the specific area / anatomy that is going to be trained in that session. This is a general warm-up exercise promoting, endurance, flexibility, balance and proprioception.

Major Muscles Trained: Rectus Femoris, Vastus Lateralis, Vastus Medialis, Vastus Intermedius, Biceps Femoris, Semitendinosus, Semimembranosus, Gluteus Maximus, Gastrocnemius, Recuts Abdomins, Deltoids.

    Thanks for the tip Sam i really like this exercise. I never knew about the cross side grab it really does feel better and man is that place your at cool i would like to go there some day.
