Herbs for Injuries

The use of herbal medicine to treat injury of the bones, tendons, ligaments, joints and muscles has always been a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Herbs are not just taken internally to treat sports injuries, they are also used externally in the form of soaks, politics, plasters and compresses to help quicken the recovery process. Commonly referred to as Dit Da which means Hit Medicine in Cantonese there exists an entire specialization in the treatment of sports and orthopedic injuries within Traditional Chinese Medicine. Hit Medicine has always been closely  associated with the practice of martial arts. The specialty was born inorder to treat martial arts related injuries. In modern times this branch of medicine can be very useful in helping those who seek relief from pain and trauma due to sports and other activity related aliments.

If you need help with a sports injury I’ve written several articles on my web site here and plan on adding many more in the future on simple things you can do to help with recovery.
